Anti-wrinkle injections are treatments that use a purified protein—commonly known by the brand name Botox—to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They work by gently relaxing the facial muscles responsible for creating expression lines, resulting in smoother, softer-looking skin.
At Dr Noor Aesthetics, anti-wrinkle injections are most commonly used to soften expression lines such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. In the lower face, they can also target specific muscles that cause downturned corners of the mouth, contribute to jowling, or cause fine lines around the lips. We also use them to relax overactive masseter muscles, often caused by teeth grinding or jaw clenching—this can even help slim the appearance of the lower face for a more refined profile.
Results typically last around 3 to 4 months. Many of our clients choose to repeat the treatment every 3 months to maintain smooth, refreshed results. You’ll begin to notice the effects within 2 weeks, with the full effect developing by weeks 4–6 before gradually wearing off.
Not necessarily. The way your body processes the treatment—your metabolism, muscle strength, dose preference, and lifestyle—can all impact how long it lasts. Some patients prefer a subtle, natural finish with lighter dosing, while others opt for longer-lasting results with a stronger dose. At Dr Noor Aesthetics, your treatment plan is tailored to your unique facial anatomy and preferences. You’ll have plenty of time during your consultation to discuss the look you’re going for and the level of movement you’d like to retain.
No—we do not offer this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is not because the treatment is known to be harmful, but because it has not been studied in these groups for ethical reasons. If you've had a treatment and later discover you're pregnant, there's no need to panic. The product remains localised in the treated muscle and isn’t thought to travel through the body. However, we always advise discussing it with your healthcare provider and pausing treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin treatment that uses ultra-fine needles to create tiny punctures (microchannels) in the skin. These controlled micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s natural healing process, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin — the proteins responsible for skin strength, firmness, and elasticity.
Key Benefits of Microneedling:
Improves skin texture and tone
Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Softens acne scars and other types of scarring
Helps fade hyperpigmentation and sun damage
Boosts skin hydration and radiance
Enhances absorption of skincare products
Can support lip enhancement or skin tightening when combined with other treatments
Microneedling is suitable for most skin types and tones, including darker skin which can be more prone to pigmentation issues. It is a safe and effective treatment for individuals looking to refresh and rejuvenate their skin without aggressive peels or lasers.
It may not be suitable for those who:
Have active acne or skin infections
Are on certain medications (like strong retinoids)
Have blood clotting disorders or poor wound healing
Are pregnant or breastfeeding (treatment may be delayed)
A full consultation with Dr Noor will determine if microneedling is right for you and tailor the treatment to your skin's needs.
Yes, microneedling is generally considered safe and effective for clients with hyperpigmentation, including post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and melasma. The treatment helps to break up uneven pigment and encourages healthy cell turnover.
For clients prone to pigmentation, Dr Noor may recommend a short course of prescription skincare (such as Hydroquinone or pigment-suppressing ingredients) before your treatment to calm pigment-producing cells and reduce the risk of flare-ups.
Clinical Evidence: Research supports microneedling as a treatment for melasma and pigmentation, especially when combined with topicals. A study published in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery showed significant improvement in pigmentation with minimal side effects. (Singh et al., 2016)
Most patients find microneedling very tolerable. For shallow treatments (up to 0.5mm), the sensation is often manageable without any anaesthetic. For deeper treatments (1–2mm), used for scars or deep lines, a topical numbing cream will be applied 30 minutes before treatment to ensure comfort.
Immediately after your session:
Your skin may look red and flushed, like mild sunburn
Some clients experience a tingling or tight sensation
Tiny pinpoint bruises may appear, but usually fade within 24–48 hours
Post-treatment tips:
Avoid makeup or active skincare for at least 6 hours
Cleanse gently and apply healing products as advised
Makeup can be worn the next day
Results begin to show within a few days, and skin continues to improve for weeks as collagen is renewed.
Profhilo and skin boosters are both injectable treatments that improve the hydration, texture, and elasticity of the skin — but they work slightly differently.
Profhilo is a high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid that spreads under the skin to hydrate from within, stimulate collagen and elastin, and remodel ageing or crepey skin.
Skin boosters (like Seventy Hyal, Teoxane Redensity 1, or Juvéderm Volite) are also made with hyaluronic acid but often contain additional nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. They focus on plumping, brightening, and improving fine lines by restoring skin health over time.
Think of Profhilo as a deep internal hydrator and skin remodeler, while skin boosters are more like a supercharged skin glow infusion.
✅ Deep hydration for dry, dull, or tired-looking skin
✅ Improves skin laxity, firmness, and bounce
✅ Reduces crepiness (thin, wrinkly skin), especially around the cheeks, neck, and décolletage
✅ Brightens skin tone and evens texture
✅ Softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
✅ Helps maintain a youthful, refreshed glow with no added volume or change in facial shape
Face (cheeks, lower face, under eyes)
Neck and jawline
Décolletage
Hands
Arms or knees (where skin becomes thin or wrinkled)
These treatments are suitable for men and women of all skin types, especially:
25+ with signs of early ageing
Individuals with dull, dehydrated, or uneven skin
Anyone looking for a subtle, natural skin refresh without adding volume
If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an active skin infection, these treatments are not recommended at this time.
The treatment is quick and comfortable, often done in under 30 minutes.
You may feel a small pinch or sting at the injection points, but this is usually mild.
Profhilo is usually injected at 5 key points on each side of the face and spreads through the tissue. Skin boosters are injected more superficially and in smaller amounts across wider areas.
Numbing cream can be used beforehand if you’re worried about discomfort.
You may have small visible bumps (especially with Profhilo) at injection points for up to 24 hours – this is normal.
Avoid heavy exercise, alcohol, heat (sunbeds/saunas) and makeup for 24 hours.
Keep the skin clean and moisturised with gentle products.
You’ll start seeing results within 7–10 days, with full benefits showing after 2–4 weeks.
Profhilo is typically done as 2 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart, with maintenance every 6 months.
Skin boosters may need 2–3 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart for optimal results.
✨ Studies show Profhilo improves hydration, elasticity, and skin firmness after just two sessions, with significant collagen and elastin stimulation.
✨ Skin boosters have been clinically shown to improve skin quality, reduce fine lines, and enhance skin luminosity, especially when used as part of a consistent skin programme.
“Profhilo promotes the viability of dermal fibroblasts and stimulates production of type I and type III collagen” – Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology (2019)
“Hyaluronic acid skin boosters lead to visible improvement in skin texture and glow” – Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (2020)
Profhilo and anti-wrinkle injections (such as Botox) are very different treatments, and they target different concerns.
Anti-wrinkle injections are ideal for softening lines caused by muscle movement, particularly in the upper face — like frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. They work by relaxing specific facial muscles to prevent wrinkles from forming or deepening.
Profhilo, on the other hand, is used in the mid and lower face, neck, and décolletage, and even the body. It focuses on hydration, skin quality, and firmness — stimulating your skin’s own collagen and elastin production to improve tone, texture, and elasticity.
Do They Work Well Together?
Yes! These treatments complement each other beautifully and can even be done on the same day. While Botox smooths expression lines, Profhilo deeply hydrates and improves the overall condition of the skin, leaving it firmer, more radiant, and healthier.
So no — Profhilo doesn’t replace Botox. But together, they offer a powerful, natural-looking refresh from top to bottom.
A chemical peel is a professional skin treatment that uses controlled exfoliation to remove the outer layers of dead or damaged skin. This encourages cell turnover, revealing fresher, more vibrant skin underneath.
We offer a range of scientifically backed, medical-grade peels that target a wide variety of skin concerns including:
✨ Mesoestetic (Cosmelan, Mesopeel, Skinretin Expert & Blemiderm Packs)
✨ The Perfect Peel (with Glutathione)
✨ VI Peel
Depending on the type of peel used, they can improve:
Acne and congestion
Hyperpigmentation (dark marks, melasma, uneven tone)
Dull or tired skin
Fine lines and early signs of ageing
Textural concerns and enlarged pores
Oily or blemish-prone skin
Your treatment will always be tailored to your skin goals and concerns after a professional consultation.
Most skin types can benefit from a chemical peel, including darker skin tones, when done carefully and correctly. During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin, medical history, and lifestyle to determine which peel is best for you.
People with very sensitive or compromised skin may need to prep the skin first with medical skincare before a peel can be done safely. Pregnant or breastfeeding clients should avoid peels for now.
To keep your skin safe and ensure the best results, please avoid:
🚫 Roaccutane (we cannot treat you while you’re on it)🚫 Waxing, microneedling, or dermaplaning beforehand
🚫 Active skincare like retinol, tretinoin, or strong acids
🚫 Open wounds, sunburn, or cold sores in the area
The treatment is quick and comfortable, often done in under 30 minutes.
You may feel a slight tingling or warmth during the peel, but this is very manageable and doesn’t last long. The strength of the peel is always adjusted to your comfort and skin tolerance.
- Some stronger peels may feel a little more intense, but discomfort is minimal and short-lived.
No heat (steam rooms, saunas, heavy workouts) for 48 hours
Avoid exfoliants or active skincare for at least 5 days
Always use high SPF – your skin will be more sun-sensitive
No picking or peeling the skin – let it shed naturally
Light/Superficial Peels cause minimal flaking—skin may look slightly dry or dull for a day or two. Most people carry on with their normal routine.
Medium-Depth Peels may lead to more noticeable peeling, usually between days 3–6. This is still manageable, and many patients schedule around a weekend or day off.
💡 Important: Do not pick or peel your skin manually—it can cause irritation or scarring. Let your skin shed naturally.
Some clients see great results after one treatment, while others benefit from a course of 3–6 peels spaced several weeks apart. We’ll guide you on the best course for your skin.
Most people are! The Perfect Peel is especially helpful for:
Pigmentation & sun damage
Fine lines & ageing skin
Uneven tone or texture
It contains powerful antioxidants like Glutathione to boost skin health and regeneration. If you have an aspirin allergy (acetylsalicylic acid), you should avoid this treatment.
How Many Peels Will I Need?
We typically recommend a course of 2 Perfect Peels to begin with, spaced 6 weeks apart. Most clients see noticeable improvements after the second session, and maintenance peels can be scheduled as needed.
Yes. Chemical peels work well alongside other treatments such as microneedling, skin boosters, and anti-wrinkle injections. We’ll advise on the safest and most effective timing for combination treatments.

Dermal fillers are generally safe when administered by a qualified and experienced practitioner. Here at Dr Noor Aesthetics Clinic, our practitioners are highly trained to ensure your safety.
Common side effects are mild and temporary, such as:
Redness
Swelling
Bruising
Tenderness at the injection site
It’s very important that everyone has a thorough and complete medical assessment before any treatment.
Fillers are made of hyaluronic acid but not all fillers are created equal. There are over 200 brands of filler available on the UK commercial market but only a very small handful are FDA/CE approved for human safety. Dr Noor only ever uses fillers that are FDA/CE approved which means they have been vigorously tested in human tissue and checked for efficacy and longevity. All fillers used in clinic are ordered through quality UK Aesthetic Pharmacies (Health Xchange, Wigmore Pharmacy and MedFX) to ensure that there can be no counterfeit product or chain. All products used in your treatments are recorded with batch and expiry numbers documented for safety. Many practitioners use poor quality fillers that are not FDA approved that are purchased off sites like Alibaba which is unethical and unsafe. These are often sourced from unregistered places have not been tested on humans for tissue compatibility and could pose a potential hazard or danger. Please always be sure to ask your practitioner about the quality of the products they use in treatments because once it’s injected into the tissue it needs to integrate well and not cause reactions and inflammation.
Discomfort is typically minimal. We use fine needles and may apply a topical anesthetic cream to the treatment area. Some fillers also contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to further enhance comfort.
The procedure time varies depending on the areas being treated, but typically ranges from 20 to 60 minutes.
The duration of results varies depending on the type of filler used, the area treated, and individual factors. Generally, results can last from 6 to 18 months.
Results are often visible immediately after the injection. However, some swelling or bruising may be present initially. The final results will become apparent once any swelling has subsided, usually within a few days to a week.
Most patients experience minimal downtime and can return to their normal activities immediately. However, we recommend avoiding:
Strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours
Excessive sun exposure for 24-48 hours
Alcohol consumption for 24-48 hours
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. If necessary, this can be used to adjust or reverse the results.
To minimize the risk of bruising, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, and fish oil) for a few days before your appointment, if safe to do so.
* Inform your practitioner of any medical conditions, allergies, or medications you are taking.
Your practitioner will provide specific aftercare instructions, which may include: * Applying a cold compress to reduce swelling * Avoiding touching or massaging the treated area for a few hours * Avoiding strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and sun exposure for 24-48 hours * Gentle cleansing of the treated area
As mentioned, common side effects include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness.
* Rare side effects may include:
* Infection
* Allergic reaction
* Lumps or nodules
* Vascular occlusion (a rare but serious complication)
